Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas (Van TX): The National Rifle Association endorses Representative Dan Flynn for re-election.
In a recent action alert the NRA-PVF wrote There are few if any state lawmakers who have fought harder to expand your self-defense rights and options than Dan Flynn. Period. During the 2013 session he sponsored and passed NRA-supported legislation reducing the number of required classroom training hours for an initial Concealed Handgun License (CHL) and allowing current licensees to complete the entire renewal process online.
In 2015 he joint-authored the landmark NRA-backed open carry and campus carry measures and provided key support for passage of Texas Right to Hunt and Fish constitutional amendment that was adopted by more than 80 percent of voters on last Novembers ballot

The alert went on to say Dan has been a past recipient of the Legislator of the Year Award given by NRAs affiliate organization the Texas State Rifle Association. Because of his strong record of leadership on issues of importance to gun owners and sportsmen he has received an A rating and endorsement from NRAs Political Victory Fund this election cycle -- the highest rating a candidate can achieve.
