Dan Flynn Says UT Regent Wallace Hall May or MAY NOT Be Impeached

To set the record straight Governor Perry has never discussed this with me. TexasTexas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Todays vote was a procedural vote ... we believe today there was sufficient evidence for consideration of potential impeachment. That doesnt mean it is going to happen it simply means it is an ongoing process said the House Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations Co-Chairman Dan Flynn on Monday during an exclusive interview with Texas Insider. However that does not mean he (UT Regent Wallace Hall) is going to be impeached. It means that the Committee will now determine those Articles of Impeachment. The committee will meet again on May 21st and there will be a number of them (Articles of Impeachment) and there will be Committee members that vote for some of those articles and there will be Committee members who vote against some of those articles Flynn said.

Dont miss Co-Chairman Flynns full & exclusive interview on the ongoing & much-maligned investigation into possible impeachment of UT Board Regent Wallace Hall as he tellInsiders Jim Cardle what to expect next on an impeachment vote of Mr. Hall.

To set the record straight Governor Perry has never discussed this with me. His only comment to me ... maybe a year ago was Follow your heart and we do not discuss this at all said Flynn. And Speaker Straus the only comment he has ever given me is Protect the integrity of the House and since then we dont have any conversations about this ... sometimes I wish they would give me a little more guidance (sic) but the bottom line is they have allowed the Committee to operate and the committee has done some good work. For instance in the Governors Appointments Office they have already made changes in how they are going to make appointments in the future. The Senate Committee that confirms those appointments has already made changes in how they are going to handle their confirmation hearings in the future Flynn said. And the new chairman of UT Mr. Foster out of El Paso has already come in and taken the Longhorn by the horns I guess is the best way to say it and has started making some changes in recognizing the need for more transparency. At the end of the day on this there will be a lot of people who arent happy but there will be a lot of people that are happy Flynn concluded. State Rep. Dan Flynn Co-Chairs the Texas Houses Select Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations.
