Dan Flynn Talks: On Pro-Life House Activities the Border & Budget

You are going to continue to see a strong push to protect life and not only that but also the family ... TexasAUSTIN Texas (Texas Insider Report) To go back a little bit the last three Legislative Sessions there has been more pro-life pro-family legislation passed than in the history of the Texas Legislature State Rep. Dan Flynn (R-HD2) tells Texas Insiders Jim Cardle. So youre going to continue to see a strong push to protect life and not only that but also the family ... Yes we have defunded all those people that have pushed for abortion but if we dont protect life who will? asked Flynn. For the future if we have that breakdown of the family you cant educate kids that are not going to be disciplined. Its so important for everything that we do and it starts with being a pro-life person. Flynn said.   Its one of those things that is paramount in everything we do in life. If we cant protect the life and liberty of even those in the womb were making a failure. Flynn is Chairman of the House Pensions Committee and was for years a member of the Homeland Security Committee. He also serves as a Colonel in the Texas State Guard. Because Texas is doing it (patrolling the Texas-Mexico Border) theres been significant decrease in people crossing. One of the things that many people dont understand is that about 70 of those Texasthat cross that border are what we call OTMs other than Mexicans. That means theyre coming from the Middle East from China from South & Central America. I receive all the Dept. of Public Safety Reports and as I look at them there are some things in there that are really concerning (regarding the threat of dangerous and significant threats coming across the Texas border.) In the (House) budget that is noted and I appreciate Appropriations Committee Chairman John Ottos effort to make sure it stays a priority Flynn said.
