Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Texas Lt. Governor-Elect Sen. Dan Patrick recently announced three key hires to his team.
Karina Davis will be re-appointed Parliamentarian.
Marian Wallace will serve as Education Policy Advisor.
Vickie Miles has accepted the position to stay on as the Lt. Governor receptionist.
Karina Davis has over 20 years experience in the senate and has held the position of Parliamentarian since 2004.
I have worked with Karina for 8 years" said Patrick. She has done an excellent job in one of the Senates most important positions. I am excited to have her back."
Marian Wallace has worked for Senator Patrick since 2007 handling K-12 public education and higher education policy as well as school finance.
Wallace has served as the director of
the Senate Education Committee since 2012 and helped to pass major education policy reforms.
No one understands both education policy and school finance more than Marian" said Patrick. She is well respected by everyone who has worked with her."
Vickie Miles has accepted the position to stay on as the Lt. Governor receptionist. A native of East Texas Vickie has 8 years of service and will continue to make everyone feel welcome.
The first person people talk to or see in contacting the Lt Governors office is the receptionist" said Patrick. That position is key to setting the proper tone and attitude of the office. She has a million dollar smile and a personality that makes everyone she meets feel special."
Lt. Governor-elect Patrick and his team will continue their thorough interview process over the next several weeks. To date nearly 200 candidates have been interviewed.
