Dan Pfeiffer resigning as senior Obama adviser

Senior presidential adviser Dan Pfeiffer will step down as soon as the end of this month the New York Times reportedWednesday. Mr. Pfeiffer known as a pugnacious defender of the presidents legacy has served with Mr. Obama since his first presidential campaign. He was White House communications director before taking the job as senior adviser to the president in January 2013. Dan has been beside me every step of this incredible journey starting with those earliest days of the campaign in 2007 Mr. Obama said in a statement to the Times. And through it all hes been smart steady tireless and true to the values we started with. The White House hasnt announced a replacement for Mr. Pfeiffer who was hospitalized twice in 2013 with stroke-like symptoms but came back to work his legendary long hours.
