Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst appointed two members to the Task Force to Reduce Child Abuse and Neglect and Improve Child Welfare. The Legislature established the Texas Statewide Blue Ribbon Task Force to develop a strategy to further prevent child abuse & neglect.
Madeline McClure has been a leader in child advocacy for over 10 years. After a successful career as a financier the TexProtects founder and Executive Director turned her problem solving skills to the issue of child abuse and recovery.
She earned her Masters Degree in Social Work and practiced six years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to child victims. Madeline holds a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University.
Mary Tipps has served on the Board of Directors for the
Austin Childrens Shelter since 2000. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Governor George W. Bush appointed her to the Colonia Resource Committee of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
In addition to her successful career in business Mary has dedicated her time and energy to supporting various community and charitable organizations including the Austin Community Foundation Junior League of Austin and Settlement Home for Children.
