Campaign reports over $4 million Cash on Hand
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas We have to stop President Obamas mishandling the economy and leading America down the wrong path" said David Dewhurst earlier today while announcing his U.S. Senate Campaign raised more than $2.64 million during the 3rd fundraising quarter
with 93 of donations coming from Texas. The amount eclipses the modern record for a single quarter by a Texas U.S. Senate candidate raised by Senator John Cornyn during the final months of his first general election race.
After filing papers for the open U.S. Senate seat in late July Dewhurst spent the next month putting together a campaign and finance team and held his first formal fundraising event on August 30th 2011.
Approximately $2.4 million of the $2.64 million raised was brought in over the last 31 days.

In addition to the record-breaking quarter Dewhurst made a $2 million personal contribution to his campaign. The Dewhurst for Texas campaign
reported over $4 million cash on hand at the end of the third quarter.
To break this important fundraising record in such a short time period in the midst of a crowded primary field speaks volumes of the deep support David has across Texas
said Dewhurst spokesman Enrique Marquez.
Texans know that David has fought to repeal Obamacare championed legislation to protect the unborn and passed landmark tort reform.
David is the only candidate prepared on Day One to stand up to President Obamas relentless assault on our freedoms cut government taxes and spending and get Americans back to work Marquez said.
