Conservative leadership has allowed Texas to prosper
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas I am a dyed in the wool conservative said Lt. Governor and U.S. Senate candidate David Dewhurst.
I promise to turn Washington upside down Dewhurst says pointing to his record of conservativism during 12 years as Texas Lt. Governor. And it is hard to argue that Texas would be the economic leader of the nation without conservative leadership like his showing the way.
Texas U.S. Senate candidate David Dewhurst has a solid well-proven conservative record to run on he told the Alamo City Republican Womens Club while on the campaign trail last weekend.
Dewhurst has delivered a conservative message to groups across the state that sometimes even include several attendees wearing pins declaring support for insurgent conservative candidate Ted Cruz.
Not content to let that stop him from talki about his record Dewhurst rattles off an un-matched set of accomplishments saying
- I have Cut Taxes more than 50 times
- Defunded Planned Parenthood
- Helped create the best business climate in the country
Consistently been against amnesty (for undocumented immigrants)- Supported Photo I.D and opposed sanctuary cities said Dewhurst.
Dewhurst spells out his five priorities as a U.S. Senator:
- Abolishing Obamacare on Day 1
- Cutting taxes
- and Balancing the Federal Budget
- Protecting Family Values
- and Religious Freedom.
As a former Air force officer Dewhurst says he is offended to see military members in uniform marching in Gay Pride parades saying that amounts to the military taking a stand on a political issue.
Dewhurst attended a Tea Party sponsored Freedom Rally at the Alamo later in the day.
After a rally recently Dewhurst told 1200 WOAI news in San Antonio he has been a backer of Tea Party policies before it was cool.
I believe in Tea Party policies he said.
Follow the Constitution support the 10th Amendment stop bailouts. There are no two state leaders as conservative as Governor Perry and I in the entire country.
Dewhurst says Texas conservatives should look at what the two candidates have done not what they
say.
I have done the things Ted Cruz is just talking about. Ted Cruz has no record he is a career staff lawyer and in that role he is told by his boss what issues to pursue.
I have cut taxes balanced budgets and helped establish the best business climate in the country he said.
Objectively its hard to argue Dewhurst is not the best candidate in the Senate race.
