Dewhurst: U.S. Needs Stable Predictable Business Climate

width=184Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas If were not going to give fellow Americans who live in Louisiana or Oklahoma or New Mexico the ability to come into Texas and save on in-state college tuition then is it fair to give that break to people that are not citizens here" asked Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst while criss-crossing Texas the past 10 days to announce his candidacy to replace retiring Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. Analysts have anticipated Dewhursts entering the Senate race where they say his statewide name recognition will be tough to match. What we need in Washington D.C. and around the country is what we have here in Texas a predictable stable business climate" said Dewhurst during one of his statewide Town Hall Forums in Austin earlier this week. I dont think President Obama understands business. I dont think he respects and understands the potential of the private sector" Dewhurst said.             Im running for the Senate because I want to serve in the Senate" said Dewhurst in response to questioning about what might happen should both he & Gov. Perry be elected to higher office thereby creating temporary voids in the Governor & Lt. Governors positions.
