width=136Washington DC Yesterday the Congressional Budget Office released a new report highlighting the job-creating impact of the Recovery Act.  According to the CBO report the Recovery Act boosted GDP by up to 4.2 in the first quarter of the year and has already supported as many as 2.8 million jobs.  Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine responded:   Yesterdays report from the Congressional Budget Office offers even more evidence of the impact of the decisive actions taken by the President and Democrats in Congress to turn our economy around and get America back on track.  As the CBO report shows millions of Americans are at work today as a direct result of the Recovery Act and even more owe their jobs to other efforts taken to revive and renew the American economy. In fact the CBO report adds to other recent good news for American businesses workers and families.  In large part due to the incredible efforts of the President and Democrats in Congress our nation has moved from recession to recovery.  Today our economy is growing again.  Hundreds of thousands of unemployed Americans are returning to the workplace every month.  Consumer confidence is up and Americans width=150are again able to invest in their futures." Obviously there are still far too many Americans across the country who are suffering the ill-effects of the disastrous economic policies of the last decade and the resulting economic crisis but many are beginning to feel the positive effects of the Presidents efforts to create and revive economic opportunities for the American people.  Those efforts will continue and the President will not rest until every American who wants a job can find one."
