Or that which we need in our leaders?

Ive spent the last three years as one of the many who are now awake to the state of emergency in our nation: a mountain of debt government that makes endless rules yet wont lift a finger to help us live with them and leaders full of promises but empty on delivery.
It is because of this fight that I have come to the conclusion I am no longer a Conservative.
Like others my time was consumed with the daily grind and is now consumed with the future of our nation. My family and I made a conscious decision and realigned our priorities and lives to join the fight for our freedom.
Having majored in English I love words and their meanings. Though conservative is a word I now use on a daily basis I realized that it is not me. It is not who I want to be.
To preserve existing conditions is not what I am fighting for. I am heartbroken over the existing conditions and want to see them changed. We do need change. Not to the quality foundation but to the home that was poorly constructed upon it.
So what can we call ourselves other than a Conservative when it no longer matches the level of fight in us or that which we need in our leaders? What can we say when people ask if we are Liberal or Conservative? We need a new word.
For the Environmentalist protecting the environment is a complete mental state dictating what they buy where they shop what they drive and what they wear. They are not content with conserving our planets current state. They strive to take back even what belongs to others for what they believe is the greater good.
Which lead me to realize Im a Freedomentalist. This drive and desire to restore our freedom has come to dictate my daily life. It has become a mental state.
Every Sunday when my husband and I plan our week we decide what steps we will take to regain OUR freedom. No longer content to conserve what little we
have left pretending what remains is enough I cant be satisfied to save what is but bread crumbs from the feast of freedom.
It is no longer enough to defend liberty or to defend freedom. Our freedom does not need to be defended it needs to be liberated!
We are so busy defending freedom on multiple fronts that we failed to notice the enemies of freedom have already slipped through the gates and took what it is we are fighting to protect.
With 9/11 the shaken banking system the BP oil spill and war on our southern border we gave away our liberties in good will. Now they have been used to build walls around us. It is time to leap over these walls and take back ground once occupied by the men and women who carved a free nation out of history.
Here is what I have found in my study of our nations situation: we are not free. This is no longer the land of the free. Every aspect of our lives is monitored rationed controlled or subsidized by parties distant from us.
We have allowed ourselves to be forced into a corner and are now being told by our opponents to accept either the corner or the certain death of our nation. We have been given a false choice of the lesser of two evils while another option exists: an all-out return to freedom just as our founders intended.
As we ramp up toward the 2012 election cycle many candidates are coming out of the woodwork. They all know the proper rallying cries of defending liberty and defending freedom.
Having spent a great deal of time behind the scenes with candidates I can say I am no longer impressed by Rah Rah! Go Team! speeches. It is no longer enough for them to give a great speech with the words they are conditioned by their consultants to use.
If you can get them to visit with you before they hit the road ask them
What are you defending? What is left to defend? Show me where I am still free.
Carefully listen to their answers and decide if they are a Conservative or a Freedomentalist. Will they merely fight for what is left or will they lead the
charge to take it all?
Ask yourself if the words that you use genuinely reflect the battle you are in. Ask it of the candidates.
If they do not then make the move from an academic discussion of freedom to letting the pursuit of it dictate your daily life before it becomes only an idea.
