We stayed on message it was a very disciplined campaign no one went to bed before 2 oclock every night and
at the end of the day it was the conservative message that won" the soon-to-be District 16 Senator said.
While political analysts continue to debate
the impacts of Huffines victory over 28 year incumbent Senator John Carona in the Republican Primary he says he intends to deliver on
the promises that carried him to victory.
I like to look at Senate District 16 essentially the northern half of Dallas County as the heart of the Republican Party for the State of Texas if not for the nation."
The area around Senate District 16 is where the Republican Party started in Texas and Ive always thought it was a lot more conservative than my opponent did … and the conservative message won" Huffines said.
Huffines with no Democratic candidate having filed to run in the heavily Republican District 16 faces only a Libertarian candidate in Novembers General Election.
