E-Poll Shows 84 of Central Texans Opposed to Obama/Democrat Budget

width=65(WASHINGTON DC) 84 of Central Texans who responded to an email poll by U.S. Representative John R. Carter (R-TX31) oppose the massive spending borrowing and taxation included in President Obama and Speaker Nancy Pelosis budget. These results show what I already suspected" Carter said.  Unprecedented spending levels skyrocketing taxation levels and massive borrowing are not the common sense ideals that are the status quo in Texas.  Punishing small business owners and the American taxpayer is a sad way to advance your political agenda and sets a flawed precedent." Carter polled 8000 12th District constituents with email Tuesday night.  Of the 5040 residents who responded 4263 or 84.58 opposed the budget.  777 or 15.41 were in favor of the resolution supporting President Obamas record $3.6 trillion budget. Carter says the budget proposed by Obama is the exact opposite of the era of responsibility" the President promised as it increases government debt more than the total amount borrowed between 1789 and 2006 more than 200 years!  The alternative budget I supported though not perfect does not increase the tax burden or the size of government like President Obama and Speaker Pelosi plan to and I think the results of this poll show that an overwhelming majority of my district disagree with their direction."
