Former Chairs back Smitherman as Best Choice to Lead Railroad Commissio

I worked with Barry at the Commission and know him to be a dependable conservative who will ensure that responsible drilling is the foundation for Texass booming energy economy. Barry Smitherman was appointed to the Railroad Commission of Texas in July 2011 and was elected Chairman in February 2012. Chairman Smitherman has been endorsed by leaders such as Governor Rick Perry and Attorney General Greg Abbott as well as a wide range of groups such as the Texas Right to Life the Texas Association of Business the Texas Association of Business National Rifle Association and the Texas Home School Coalition.
