Texas Insider Report: – WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Bill Flores (R-Texas) sent a letter to President Obama calling for the terminations and/or resignations of Attorney General Eric Holder and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Following release of the letter, Representative Flores issued the following statement:
“American’s trust has been seriously damaged by the actions of Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Attorney General Eric Holder. These two individuals have proven they are not capable of upholding their oath of office. Mr. Clapper’s deception to Congress on intelligence agencies’ practices and Mr. Holder’s numerous constitutional violations, including the Fast and Furious scandal and his failure to defend federal law against court challenges, has demonstrated their lack of honesty and poor commitment to the protection of the Constitution. I remain extremely concerned about their honesty, leadership and commitment to protecting our Constitutionally guaranteed liberties.
“It is time for them to resign or be removed from their positions. Continued Congressional oversight coupled with the terminations of Attorney General Eric Holder and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper will help restore trust in these important offices.”
