Flores Condemns Harmful Energy Taxes

bill.flores011416Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed two bipartisan resolutions disapproving of the Obama Administrations proposed taxes on energy. Congressman Bill Flores (R-Texas) issued the following statement regarding passage of these resolutions:
The Obama Administrations proposed carbon tax and $10-a-barrel tax on oil would raise energy prices cost jobs and weaken our economy. These taxes would harm businesses and hardworking American families who already struggling with stagnant wages. Today the House took another stand against the administrations assault on American energy development. Rather than imposing unnecessary and harmful taxes the House is focused on advancing a 21st century energy strategy to lower energy costs improve economic opportunity reduce  geopolitical instability around the world and achieve American energy security.
H.Con.Res. 89 passed the House with a bipartisan 237-163 vote. The resolution expresses the sense of Congress that a carbon tax would be detrimental to American families and businesses and is not in the best interest of the United States. H.Con.Res. 112 passed the House with a bipartisan 253-144 vote. This resolution expresses the sense of Congress opposing the Presidents proposed $10 tax on every barrel of oil. Congressman Bill Flores represents the 17th District of Texas and is an entrepreneur former energy executive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC)  and member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee
