Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Representative Bill Flores (R-Texas) released the following statement on the passage of the Senate-amended H.R. 240 the
Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2015:
Todays Department of Homeland Security funding bill did not include any measures to stop the presidents unlawful amnesty actions; therefore I could not support it. When President Obama recklessly acts outside of his constitutional authority it is Congress responsibility to stop his unlawful actions. I support the court challenge that is currently blocking the presidents amnesty orders. As long as this Administration continues to show contempt for the Constitution House conservatives will continue to pursue all available options to defend the Constitution and protect Americans from the presidents lawlessness.
