Flores Statement on Export-Import Banks Expired Authorization

bill.flores.0315Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Representative Bill Flores (R-Texas) released the following statement on the expiration of the Export-Import Banks authorization:
Congress is right to let the authorization for the Export-Import Bank expire. The Bank has become the Enron of the federal government a poster child for the worst of Washingtons corruption and mismanagement. American businesses are strong enough to compete on their own without interference from unaccountable federal bureaucrats looking to line their own pockets. I urge my fellow conservatives in Congress to join me in making sure the Bank begins an orderly wind down beginning today."
Earlier this year the Republican Study Committee took a position against reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank citing the need for a competitive free market and the Banks unchanged culture of corruption. Congressman Bill Flores represents the 17th District of Texas and is an entrepreneur former energy executive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC)  and member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
