BOSTON Representative Dan Flynn (R Van) was appointed to the Texas Energy Council this week by Speaker Joe Straus.
I am pleased to appoint Representative Flynn to the Energy Council Speaker Straus said. He will provide a much-needed East Texas perspective on critical energy issues.
The Texas Energy Council is a nonprofit non partisan organization of professional and educational societies dedicated to serving the energy industry in Texas. The Council was originally founded in 1988 as the Dallas Energy Council changed to the North Texas Energy Council in 1996 and changed to the Texas Energy Council in 2007.
I am honored to serve on this excellent Council and thank Speaker Straus for his consideration of me for this appointment stated Flynn.
The membership is comprised of over 5000 members from these various organizations and is headquartered in Dallas Texas. The TEC provides a forum for all energy-related professional societies and educational institutions to communicate issues and transfer technology among its members and the general public.
Hailing from Van one of Texas oldest oil towns prepares me with a unique perspective for the Energy Council stated Flynn. My lifetime of work in the finance business equips me with a useful background and enables me to contribute to this great group.
