Flynn Visits L3 Lauds Contributions to the Community

width=71Texas Insider Report: Greenville TX: Representative Dan Flynn (R-Van) was recently invited to visit the L3 complex in Greenville. During his visit he had the opportunity to discuss ongoing concerns and the future growth of the partnership L3 has forged with the local community.  I am happy to report that L3 continues to make an extraordinary contribution to Greenville.  They support the local community with strong ties to education including an ongoing partnership with Texas A&M Commerce and involvement with Flynns Flyers a group that supports tying math and science to real job skills needed to work in the aerospace industry Flynn stated.  The Flynn Flyer program has already reached capacity this year and an expansion of the program is expected to be considered. width=258With over 9000 out of town visitors to the facility each year L3 provides Greenville with over 3 million dollars in taxable visitor spending and they contribute to the State of Texas over 4 million dollars in taxes paid each year.  The Attorney Generals opinion this last week confirms the value of L3 to the City of Greenville and all of Hunt County.  The jobs they create are a very important part of the local economy and standing behind their efforts for long term job growth is something I am very interested in supporting. I have been able to work with the folks at L3 on more than one occasion and I continue to be encouraged by what they contribute not only to the industry but to our community as well commented Flynn.
