More Key GOP Leaders Endorse-- RNC National Committeeman Bill Crocker Former RPT Vice Chairman David Barton Endorse
(Garland TX) - Continuing a string of momentum-building conservative endorsements by the Dunning campaign Former U.S. House Majority Leader and Freedom Works Chairman Dick Armey today announced his endorsement of Randy Dunning in the March 8th Republican primary runoff. Dunning also continued to secure key conservative endorsements from Republicans leaders increasingly concerned about Angie Chen Button’s long history of support for liberal Democrats.
In a message to Republicans residing in HD 112 Leader Armey said “There are major differences in the April 8th runoff. I urge you to support Randy Dunning the only real Republican who is a conservative and who has always stood with Republicans when it mattered. He will not let us down.”
Armey currently serves as Chairman of Freedom Works where he has led a series of high-profile battles against higher taxes at the state and federal level. He served as Majority Leader for the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 until 2003.
RNC National Committeeman for Texas Bill Crocker joined Mr. Armey in endorsing Dunning. Crocker said “Republicans in Richardson and Garland face a clear choice between Randy Dunning a champion of conservative principles and his opponent who has donated thousands of dollars to some of the most liberal Democrats in North Texas. I urge conservatives to return to the polls on April 8th to elect Randy Dunning”
David Barton former Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas also commented on this race: “Angie Chen Button actually has a record of working AGAINST Republicans. Not only did she contribute to liberal Democrat Ron Kirk when he ran for U. S. Senate against Sen. John Cornyn but she also contributed to the Democrat who ran against U. S. Representative Pete Sessions.
Randy Dunning is a strong conservative Republican who has long record of working hard in the grass roots to advance conservative principles and values; in fact he was even serving as a precinct chairman when he decided to run for this seat. Randy understands that to keep voters looking to Republicans we must continue to offer principled conservative leadership that protects both the pocketbooks and values of ordinary Texans.”
Dunning has previously been endorsed by key conservative legislators from Dallas County and across North Texas including State Sen. Bob Deuell Rep. Jim Jackson Rep. Jodie Laubenberg Rep. Ken Paxton Rep. Betty Brown Rep. Dan Flynn Rep. Bryan Hughes Rep. Phil King and Rep. Tan Parker. Additionally he has been endorsed by RNC Committeewoman Denise McNamara Former Texas GOP Chairman Tom Pauken Texas Eagle Forum President Cathie Adams and almost seventy-five percent of the precinct chairs in HD 112. Dunning also secured the endorsement of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility/Empower Texans PAC Texas Right to Life and Young Conservatives of Texas.
