Former Solicitor General Ted Cruz Launches Exploratory Site

width=44As the 2010 election season nears we are beginning to get a clearer picture of where some of the big names will end up on the ballot. Earlier this week Former Solicitor General Ted Cruz went live with his Attorney General exploratory website. The timing is interesting not only because it is still Spring 2009 but because Cruzs former boss current Attorney General Greg Abbott has not gone public with his future plans. Speculation tells us that Cruz must know something about Abbotts plans. Reports show Abbott hinting at either a run for Lt. Governor or running for Kay Bailey Hutchisons not-yet-vacated Senate Seat. We also doubt Cruz would make a show about running for AG if Abbotts mind isnt made up to pursue another position. Lt. Governor Dewhurst AG Greg Abbott Congressman Michael McCaul Rep. Dan Branch and many others are now in a holding pattern waiting to react to a move from Hutchison. We are hearing rumors of when Hutchison will resign and it seems this news or news of some other sort led to the Cruz website. Unfortunately the website lacks the quality needed for a race of this profile. We hope the Cruz campaign will build on what they currently have in place. You can view the website here.
