(FORNEY)  The Texas State Rifle Association awarded Wade Gent an A-rating today in response to Gent’s stance on 2nd Amendment rights.  Gent is seeking the nomination for State Representative in House District 4 which encompasses Kaufman and Henderson counties.

“As a lifelong sportsman and hunter I am proud that the Texas State Rifle Association would award me such recognition” Gent said.
The Texas State Rifle Association is the Texas state affiliate of the National Rifle Association.  The TSRA Political Action Committee is dedicated to electing candidates who support the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution.  Candidate ratings come as a result of a questionnaire designed to gauge a candidate’s support for gun rights.

“The Texas State Rifle Association and the National Rifle Association do an unparalleled job in fighting for the rights of Americans and I commend both organizations for their dedication steadfastness and for their great work” Gent said.

Gent Associate Municipal Judge for the City of Forney holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Texas Tech University and a law degree from Texas Wesleyan University. Gent also serves as the City Attorney for the cities of Scurry and Rosser.  He and his wife Misti have two children.

District 4 encompasses the whole of Kaufman County and Henderson County.
