Texas Insider Report: KAUFMAN Texas God & Country the newly formed Christian conservative organization announces that it will hold its first
rally on February 18th in Tyler Texas. God And Country was founded in east Texas after the Wisconsin atheist group Freedom from Religion Foundation demanded the removal of the Nativity scene displayed during the Christmas holidays on the Court House lawn in the small town of Athens Texas.
Deeply angered thousands of Christians gathered on December 17 2011 in the Athens downtown square to denounce the increasing assault on the First Amendment rights of Americans.
Ray Myers one of the founders of the organization said For decades Christian leaders have been bullied into silence because they thought they would lose their non-profit status if they

discussed politics in the pulpit. Now they are realizing that this is unconstitutional."
He continued Christians are drawing a line in the sand and are aggressively and publicly defending those certain unalienable Rights endowed by our Creator. God And Country was founded for the purpose of restoring our Judeo-Christian heritage and the traditional values of America."
The rally will be held at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene at 10:00 a.m. in Tyler Texas. Because seating is limited reservations must be made before the event.
