Party Should Take Case to Latinos Ratchet Down Anti-Immigrant Rhetoric
Texas Insider Report: HOUSTON Texas On the heels of President Obamas re-election the Republican
Partys loss of Hispanic voters was avoidable contends Brad Bailey CEO of
The Texas Immigration Solution. Bailey has been a leading voice steering the party toward free-market immigration solutions after
successfully advocating for Republicans to endorse a new national guest-worker program in its national platform.
Our party has an opportunity to show the Latino community that we can lead in providing conservative free-market solutions to our nations broken immigration policy" said Bailey.
Governor Romney failed to offer a solution to immigration issues and failed to reach Hispanic voters 70 of whom voted for President Obama. He could have made a common-sense case for immigration reform but instead dodged the issue.
During the debates Mr. Romney stunned Latino voters when he called for immigrants to self-deport. During the primary campaign when asked what he would do about illegal immigrants he said he would make life miserable for them.
This is precisely the kind of inflammatory rhetoric that will cause Republicans to lose voters across the board. It is critical that our party confront the anti-immigration mentality and proclaim that

hateful rhetoric is hindering our party from winning elections.
In Texas we are confronted daily with our nations failed immigration policies. Texas Republicans decided to step up and lead on the immigration issue at the Republican Party of Texas convention in June. Texas delegates overwhelmingly supported a solution that would advance market-and-law based approaches to our nations immigration system.
Immigration reform is a serious debate that the GOP needs to have; it should not shy away from solutions nor shy away from stating where we stand and what we believe. Our party leaders should confront the GOPs vocal minority and show them that immigration solutions are better for all Americans than immigration rhetoric.
Texas Republicans have a commonsense free-market immigration solution that will address this problem at its root. The question is: Do Republican Party leaders have the will to pursue it" said Bailey.
Mr. Bailey is the Founder and CEO of The Texas Immigration Solution a 501(c)(4) organizations

comprised of like-minded business and community leaders dedicated to promoting conservative market-based immigration reform.
Brad Bailey is a Texas restauranteur & Nassau Bay (TX) City Councilman who successfully advocated for inclusion of
Texas Republicans guest-worker program in the National Republican Party Platform. He is also the founder of the free-market nonprofit group
The Texas Immigration Solution.
