GOP Freshman of the Year Jose Aliseda: On Voter ID Sanctuary Cities Bill & More

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas  One of the things I have learned in the process of passing the Sanctuary Cities Bill  is that the truth does not matter in politics. Its what you make the public perceive is twidth=356he truth ... through the media through propaganda or even what you say on the Floor of the House ... that seems to matter. Thats what seems to matter because then the public perceives that it is the truth. What we did was pass a law to tell the people to follow the Federal Law which was passed back in 1996 under President Clinton. Thats all the (Santuary Cities) bill was.

Join Texas Insiders Jim Cardle as GOP House Freshman of the Year Jose Aliseda (HD 35) provides his perspective on the 82nd Legislatures Regular Session.

Said Aliseda of the Voter ID Bill
If youre going to vote in our Texas Elections illegally that means you are pretending to be someone you are not when casting a ballot and you get caught now theres going to be some serious repercussions. Its now a State Level  2nd Degree  Jailable Felony. The fact that the Democrats fought it so hard on this bill makes me believe they werent really serious that this was about possible voter disenfranchisement but were hoping the doors might still stay open for voter fraud.
