AUSTIN Gov. Rick Perry today accepted an invitation from the Tarrant County and Denton County GOP to debate Senator Hutchison in Denton this fall.
Sen. Hutchison should join him so a date can be set for the debate. Gov. Perry has also accepted debate invitations from Belo Corporation and the Collin County GOP.
With a 16-year Washington record of supporting record-setting debt earmarks and bailouts Sen. Hutchison has some explaining to do" said Perry campaign spokesman Mark Miner.
Texans want to hear concrete ideas on how to improve our state not baseless criticism. We hope Sen. Hutchison will accept this opportunity to offer specific proposals and educate voters on how she intends to fund them."
