AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed 13 people to the Trinity River Authority which oversees development and conservation of surface water resources of the Trinity River Basin.
Harold L. Barnard of Waxahachie is president of Ellis County Abstract and Title Co. He is a member of the Texas Land Title Association and the Texas Association of Title Agents. Additionally he is a member and past president of the Ellis County Museum Waxahachie Foundation and Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce. Barnard received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is being reappointed for a term to expire March 15 2011.
Herschel Brannen III of Trinity is principal of Eagle Academy at Trinity. He is past president and a member of the Trinity County Farm Bureau Trinity County Forest Landowners and the Trinity Chamber of Commerce. He is also a board member of Sustainable Forestry and past board member of the Texas Forestry Association. Brannen received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston. He replaces Russell Arnold of Trinity for a term to expire March 15 2011.
Pat Carlson of Fort Worth is vice president of Carlson Engineering Inc. She is a member of the Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary Advisory Council and Fort Worth Rotary. She is also a past volunteer at the Mid-Cities Crisis Pregnancy Center. Carlson replaces Louis Sturns of Fort Worth for a term to expire March 15 2013.
Michael Cronin of Terrell is vice chairman of American National Bank of Texas. He is president of the Terrell Economic Development Corp. and Terrell Industrial Foundation and is past chairman of the Terrell Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas and Texas Bankers Association. Additionally he serves on the Texas Economic Development Council TexasOne and Texas Marketing Team. Cronin received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. He is being reappointed for a term to expire March 15 2011.
Steve Cronin of Shepherd is director of transportation for the Coldspring Independent School District. He is secretary of the San Jacinto County Farm Bureau and a member and financial advisor of the Coldspring Future Farmers of America Booster Club. He also served as an agriculture field representative for the Texas Farm Bureau and an agriculture extension agent for the Texas A&M University System. Cronin received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. He is being reappointed to a term to expire March 15 2011.
John Jenkins of Hankamer is owner and operator of a rice farming business. He serves on the board of the Texas Rice Festival and is committee chair of Texas Gatorfest. Jenkins received a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University. He replaces Sylvia Greene of Arlington for a term to expire March 15 2009.
Andrew Martinez of Huntsville is a former Huntsville City Councilmember and former trustee of the Huntsville Independent School District. He is a trustee of the Gulf Coast Trade Center and former member of the World Safety Organization. Martinez is also a prison ministry volunteer and past board member of the Raven School. He is being reappointed for a term to expire March 15 2013.
Kevin Maxwell of Crockett is president of S.C. Maxwell Co. He is a director and past president of the Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce president of Crockett Athletic Boosters and past president of the Crockett Merchants Little League. Additionally he is a committee member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and member of the Texas Wildlife Association. He replaces Ed Hargett of Crockett for a term to expire March 15 2009.
Shanda Perkins of Burleson is vice president of First State Bank of Texas. She is director of the Johnson County Chamber Summit and advisory council member for Congressman Joe Barton. She is also director of the Burleson Lions Club and board member of the United Way of Johnson County. Additionally she is a member of the Burleson Hill College Advisory Council. Perkins replaces Vincent Cruz of Fort Worth for a term to expire March 15 2011.
Manny Rachal of Livingston is president and owner of Shrimp Boat Manny’s restaurant. He attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Rachal replaces Benny Fogleman of Livingston for a term to expire March 15 2009.
Ana Laura Saucedo of Dallas is a real estate investor. She is president of the Pike Park Preservation League and former trustee of the Soccoro Independent School District. She also helped develop the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce and the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is being reappointed for a term to expire March 15 2013.
Shirley Seale of Anahuac is a financial advisor for Edward Jones. She is a member of the West Chambers County and Anahuac chambers of Commerce and a former board member of the Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority and American Heart Association. Seale attended Lee College and the Southern Methodist University Graduate School of Banking. She replaces John Jerkins of Hankamer for a term to expire March 15 2009.
Linda Timmerman of Streetman is the strategic business development director for Texas Dermatology Associates. She is a board member of the Navarro College Foundation and the immediate past-president of the Navarro/Corsicana Chamber of Commerce. Timmerman received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University Commerce. She is being reappointed for a term to expire March 15 2013.
