Gov. Perry Appoints Adams as Presiding Officer of Texas Racing Commission

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Jesse Adams of Helotes as presiding officer of the Texas Racing Commission for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The commission oversees pari-mutuel wagering on horse and greyhound racing.
 
Adams is founder and president of Adams and Polunsky a tax advisory firm and Adams Land and Livestock. He is a former director of the Texas Association of Builders a community director of Wells Fargo and Company and past president of the Greater San Antonio Builders Association.
Adams is also a member of the Texas Association of Realtors and charter member of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals. He is life director of the National Association of Home Builders and a life member of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition.
 
Adams received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
