Gov. Perry Appoints Armendariz and Klaeger to Texas Commission on Jail Standards

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Irene Armendariz of El Paso and Judge Donna S. Klaeger of Horseshoe Bay to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards which establishes standards for the care and treatment of county prisoners and the construction maintenance and operation of county jails.
 
Armendariz is vice president of operations for the West Texas region of Superior HealthPlan. She is a board member of Superior HealthPlan and member of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce. Armendariz also volunteers as a member of the allocation committee for the United Way of El Paso. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. Her term expires Jan. 31 2009.
Klaeger is Burnet County Judge. She serves as executive director of the Seriff Foundation and past executive director and president of the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce. She is also past director of development at Seton Highland Lakes Hospital. Klaeger volunteers as advisory board director of the Legacy Fund of the Highland Lakes and is past president of the Burnet County Hospital Authority Board. Her term expires Jan. 31 2013.
