AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Stacee P. Bell of Horseshoe Bay and Catherine Estrada of Fort Worth to the Communities in School Advisory Committee for terms to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The committee works to prevent high school dropouts and prepare students for the future success in college and careers.
Bell is a community volunteer involved with various organizations in the Austin area. She is a member of the Town Lake chapter of Links Inc and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston. Bell replaces Rosa Linda Navejar of Fort Worth.
Estrada is a marketing consultant with Estrada Hinojosa. She is a member of the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychiatrists and board member of the Communities in Schools Program of Fort Worth and McDonald Observatory. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College and master’s degree in educational administration from Texas Christian University. She replaces Linda Mora of San Antonio.
