AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed four members to the Central Colorado River Authority which controls stores preserves and distributes water from the Central Colorado River and its tributaries for domestic municipal flood control irrigation power and other useful purposes.
David “Lance” McWhorter of Coleman is a loan officer at First Coleman National Bank. He is past president of the Coleman Rotary Club and Kiwanis group. McWhorter received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in counseling from Hardin-Simmons University. He replaces Jack B. Horne of Coleman for a term to expire Feb. 1 2009.
Patrick S. Justiss of Coleman is a banker at Coleman County State Bank. He received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from Tarleton State University. He replaces John S. Hensley of Santa Anna for a term to expire Feb. 1 2011.
Kimberly E. Horne of Valera is a real estate broker with Centex Land Co. She is a member of the Coleman County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Coleman Business People Association and Circle C Cattlewomen. She is also a volunteer with the Coleman Fine Arts League Keep Coleman Beautiful and Coleman Public Library. Horne attended Angelo State University. She replaces Alice B. Hemphill of Coleman for a term to expire Feb. 1 2011.
Roger Nelson of Santa Anna is executive director of the Coleman Economic Development Corporation. He is a member of the Coleman Youth Association Board of Directors and a volunteer with Matthew 25 Ministries. Nelson received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kansas. He replaces Ronald Owens of Coleman for a term to expire Feb. 1 2013.
