AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry appointed Charlotte G. Hinds of Bastrop as 423rd Judicial District Court Judge representing Bastrop County for a term to expire at the next general election.Hinds is an attorney in a private practice of 22 years in Bastrop County. She formerly served as an attorney for the Texas Railroad Commission. She is a past board member of the Bastrop Rotary Club and Calvary Episcopal Church.
Hinds volunteers for several organizations in Bastrop County including Band Boosters and Community Choirs. Hinds is a member of the State Bar of Texas and Bastrop Bar Association where she focuses on establishing college scholarships for students in Bastrop County.
Hinds received a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from Texas Tech University.
