
AUSTIN Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Terrie Livingston of Fort Worth as chief justice of the Second Court of Appeals for a term to expire at the next general election.
Livingston is a justice of the Second Court of Appeals a position she has held for 15 years. She is a member of the American Bar Association American Bar Association Appellate Conference of the Judicial Administration Division American Judicature Society and State Bar of Texas.
She is past director of the State Bar of Texas Judicial Section associate editor of The Appellate Advocate for the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section and past secretary of the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court Masters.
Livingston is also a member of Texas Bar Foundation Tarrant County Appellate Bar Association Tarrant County Probate Bar Association and Parker County Bar Association.
She is also a member and past chair of the Tarrant County Bar Foundation member and past vice president of the Tarrant County Bar Association a member and past president of
the Tarrant County Womens Bar Association director of the Texas Christian University AddRan College of Humanities and Social Sciences Board of Visitors and Texas Girls Choir Advisory Board.
Livingston received a bachelors degree from Texas Tech University and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
