AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Cecilia May Moreno of Laredo to the Texas Woman’s University Board of Regents for a term to expire Feb. 1 2013.Moreno is superintendent of Carrizo Springs Consolidated Independent School District and previously worked for Laredo Independent School District for 37 years. She formerly served as a councilmember for the City of Laredo for ten years and is a past mayor pro-tempore for the city. She is a member of the Texas Association of School Administrators Washington Birthday Celebration Association Webb Heritage Foundation and LULAC Council No. 12.
