Gov. Perry Appoints Three to OneStar Foundation

width=65AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed three members to the OneStar Foundation Board of Directors which serves to further volunteerism and community service in the state of Texas.
 
Joshua Carden of Weatherford is an attorney with Eggleston Flowers & King. He is a board member of Romania Reborn a nonprofit organization seeking to provide Romanian orphans a permanent home. Carden received a bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist University and a law degree from Regent University School of Law. He is being appointed to a newly created position on the board for a term to expire March 15 2010.

width=65Cathy Landtroop of Plainview is a development officer for the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. She is a board member of the American Cancer Society and Compassionate Care Pregnancy Center. She is also hospitality coordinator for Plainview Bible Church and past chair of the Cotton Barron’s Ball. Landtroop received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University. She replaces W. Fred Smith of Tyler for a term to expire March 15 2011.
 
Lewis Timberlake of Austin is a professional speaker and owner of Timberlake and Associates. He is past president of the Texas State Historical Association Texas Law Enforcement and Youth Development Foundation. He is also past chairman of the Texas State Commission for the Blind. Timberlake is a member of the National Speaker Association (NSA) and an elected member of the NSA Council of Peers Award for Excellence Speaker Hall of Fame. He formerly served in the U.S. Army. He is being reappointed for a term to expire March 15 2011.
