AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed three members to the Texas Woman’s University Board of Regents for terms to expire Feb. 1 2015. The board adopts rules and regulations to carry out the purposes of the university.
Sue S. Bancroft of Argyle is a retired University of North Texas professor. She is a member of the Greater Denton Arts Guild Musicians Union and Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Advisory Board. She is president of the Festival Ballet of North Texas and past president of the Argyle Independent School District Board and Texas Winds Musical Outreach.
Bancroft received a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University a master’s degree in music performance from the University of Michigan and an honorary doctorate from Central Michigan University. She replaces Harry Crumpacker who was reappointed to an unexpired position.
Lola Chriss of Rowlett is manager of health promotion and benefits for Texas Instruments. She is secretary of the Dallas Fort Worth Business Group on Health and a member of the Dallas Metropolitan YWCA Dallas County United Way Allocation Panel Southwest Benefits Association and Rowlett’s Women’s Club. She is also a member of the National Business Group on Health and Garland Independent School District Advisory Board and past chair of the Texas Woman’s University Foundation Board of Directors. Chriss received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University. She replaces Tegwin Pulley of Dallas.
Ann Scanlon McGinity of Pearland is senior vice president operations and chief nurse executive at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. She is a member of the Texas and American Nurses associations and the Good Samaritan Foundation of Houston Board of Trustees. McGinity received a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University and a master’s degree in child psychiatric nursing and a doctorate degree from the University of Maryland. She replaces William Fleming of Houston.
These appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.
