Participates in ribbon-cutting for facility rebuilt after Hurricane Ike

ORANGE Gov. Rick Perry today joined employees area residents and local leaders at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand reopening of the Honeywell Specialty Additives facility in Orange. The facility was severely damaged by Hurricane Ike in 2008.
Todays opening is a celebration of the unbreakable human spirit and an example of the recovery that continues across this region" Gov. Perry said. The restoration of this plant is a sign that Texas is still the place to be it is still the best place to pursue dreams of economic success and the best place to live work and raise a family."
The company expressed its commitment to continue doing business in Texas by announcing the completion of multi-million dollar rebuilding project.
Through the hard work and dedication of Honeywell employees our Orange facility and the surrounding Orange community is even stronger than before Hurricane Ike" Honeywell Specialty Materials President and CEO Andreas Kramvis said. We are looking forward to continuing to serve our specialty additives customers from our Orange facility for many years to come."
