width=65McKinney to Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed David Austin McKinney of Cypress Mill to the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission for a term to expire March 17 2011. Representatives from Alabama Florida Louisiana Mississippi and Texas serve on the commission which focuses on conservation development and utilization of the Gulf of Mexico’s fishery resources.
 
McKinney is a rancher and owner of Three Springs Ranch. He is a member of the Working Ranch Cowboys Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. He also served in the U.S. Navy. He replaces Ralph Rayburn of College Station.

Clapp Appointed to Texas Board of Nursing
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Patricia Clapp of Dallas to the Texas Board of Nursing for a term to expire Jan. 31 2013. The board oversees accreditation of nursing schools and ensures that licensed nurses in Texas meet the necessary requirements to practice.
 
Clapp is vice president of talent workforce and education for the Greater Dallas Chamber.  She is past president of Executive Women of Dallas and Headstart of Greater Dallas and a member of the Dallas Summit and Charter 100.  She is also a member of the WorkSource of Dallas County board of directors past chair of the Community Council of Greater Dallas a member of the U.S. Chamber Workforce and Education Committee and chair of the American Cancer Society Dallas Metro Board.  She previously served as chair of the Trinity River Authority. Clapp received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. She replaces Frank D. Sandoval Jr. of San Antonio.

Jones Appointed to Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation Board
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Robert “Bob” Jones of Corpus Christi to the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation board of directors for a term to expire Feb. 1 2009. The board oversees the provision of affordable housing for low income Texans.
 
Jones is pastor of the Messianic Fellowship Church. He is also a host on the 1440 KEYS radio morning show. He is a member of the U.S.O of South Texas board of directors and Texas Coastal Coordination Council and is vice chairman of the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority. Jones served in the U.S. Army and is a member of the American Legion Post 3837. He received a bachelor’s degree from Temple University. He replaces Charles Rencher of Sugar Land.
