AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today set Tuesday Nov. 6 as the special election day to fill the vacancy in the Texas House of Representatives District 97 created by the resignation of Rep. Anna Mowery. The candidate who wins will serve out the remainder of the term to expire in Jan. 2009.Candidates who wish to have their names placed on the special election ballot must file their application with the Secretary of State no later than 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 31 2007.
