Gov. Perry to Meet with Business Leaders in New York City

Perry042214Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Gov. Rick Perry will take Texas’ message of low taxes, smart regulations and job creation to businesses in New York City from April 22-24. The governor will meet with employers and participate in a reception hosted by TexasOne to discuss the opportunities and freedom available to families and businesses thanks to Texas’ healthy economy.  

No state tax dollars will be used to pay for the governor’s travel and accommodations on this trip.

According to the Tax Foundation, Texas is one of the top state tax climates in the nation, while New York ranks as one of the worst. CNBC ranked New York 35th in its Best States for Business survey, while Texas was ranked second, and CEO Magazine’s annual survey of more than 700 CEOs from around the nation ranked New York 49th in its annual ranking of best states to do business. This same survey has named Texas the best state to do business for the last nine years in a row.

TexasOne is a public-private partnership that brings together communities and employers from across the state to market Texas nationally and internationally as a prime business destination. This successful partnership has been replicated around the country as a key economic competitiveness tool.
