Texas Insider report: AUSTIN, Texas – (Fort Worth, TX–February 24, 2014) – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company recognized Texas State Representative Linda Harper-Brown today with the Bell Helicopter Legislative Leadership Award. The award honors elected officials who have been avid supporters of the aerospace and defense industries and who have fostered an environment of economic growth in Texas and across the nation.

Rep. Harper-Brown authored HB 3121 during the 83rd Texas Legislative Session, which modified the current Freeport Tax exemption in Texas law and provides constitutional relief for advanced manufacturing facilities, like Bell Helicopter, who hold inventory stored in the state.
The award was presented on Monday, February 24, in district, at the Bell Helicopter Drive Systems Center located in Grand Prairie, TX.
