Voters cast ballots in the Saddle Up Texas Straw Poll held at Minute Maid Park via text messaging and paper ballots.
Thiess decisively won with 93.1 of the text ballots and 94.1 in the paper balloting. Her victory was consistent between in-person and remote voting indicating a very solid foundation of support among conservatives.
