The pool of presidential candidates continued to grow last week. I believe that my passion my common sense solutions and my determination not to be discouraged because I am the dark horse candidate; I think all of that is whats going to separate me" said Cain. Currently Cain is running under an exploratory committee. Cain garnered attention during a relatively small televised debate last week. The Tea Party strategy has proven to be successful. It gave the GOP control of several state legislatures like the Texas House. The red wave carried local Republican Jason Isaac into office as State Representative last November. The Dripping Springs Republican House member believes the Tea Party message can be the ticket to the White House especially for Cain. Its one that resonates with people that Ive seen over the past 2 years that said Ive never even voted never been involved in the process but Ive got to make a difference or its going to be my kids their children whose lives are on the line" said Isaac. Whoever wins the GOP nomination will most likely face President Obama who is raising a lot of cash. Obamas stop in Austin last Tuesday reportedly raised $2 billion dollars. Election Day is still more than a year and a half away. By the time people start going to the polls budget cuts and job reductions will be setting in. That could bring another set of angry voters to the ballot box which could change what changed this past November. Cain will join fellow Republicans Newt Gingrich and Gary Johnson Independent Fred Karger and President Barack Obama among others in the running.
