Herman Cain to Austin: I am the Dark Horse Candidate. Thats what is going to separate me.&"

Most of the people in Washington D.C. that have this country in a state of crisis theyve held political office ... Hows that workin for you?" said Herman Cain earlier this year as he spoke to the Austin Economic Club. To paraphrase one of my supporters President Obama may raise a billion dollars but the people of this country are going to raise some Cain" said Cain.

I believe that my passion my common sense solutions and my determination not to be discouraged because I am the dark horse candidate; I think all of that is whats going to separate me" said Cain. I dont need a billion dollars because I dont believe he (President Obama) will be able to buy a 2nd term" Cain said during his comments to the Austin Economic Club breakfast. The Tea Party impact on Republican primaries and in races traditionally held by business-minded Democrats has proven to be successful boon to Republican candidates up & down the election ballot. In 2010 the Tea Party helped provide the margin of victory to give the GOP control of several state legislatures. In Texas where many expected Republican gains in the Texas State House the added turn-out propelled Republicans to a super-majority 101 out of 150 state House Seats. width=134Local to Austin the red wave carried Republican Jason Isaac into office as State Representative in November 2010. The Dripping Springs Republican House member believes the Tea Party message can be the ticket to the White House especially for Cain. Its one that resonates with people that Ive seen over the past 2 years that said Ive never even voted never been involved in the process but Ive got to make a difference or its going to be my kids their children whose lives are on the line" said Isaac. Said Cain What we have is a deficiency in leadership crisis. First youve got to make sure youre working on the right problem. Number two set the right priorities ... Immigration is one of the biggest issues that we face. One of the reasons that not much progress has been made is because every time you hear someone in Washington D.C. talk about Comprehensive Immigration Reform that just means they dont have any idea how to solve the problem.

With Election Day is still more than a year away and the nations economy in prolonged decline many analysts predict that by the time people go to the polls in November 2012 even further state & local budget cuts job reductions and additional housing concerns will be setting in. That could bring another set of angry voters to the ballot box looking to express their disappointment in the Obama administrations policies as well as those of Congress. Whoever wins this years GOP Presidential Primary nomination will likely face President Obama who is raising a lot of cash. Obamas stop in Austin in mid-May reportedly raised $2 million dollars.
