Competitiveness of Texas business climate focus of hearing
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas The Texas House Ways & Means Committee met Wednesday November 2 2011 to evaluate the Texas State Tax Structure and determine its impact on the competitiveness of the Texas business climate. Specifically
the committee was to discuss Property Tax Exemptions & Economic Development said State Rep. Harvey Hilderbran (R-Kerrville) the Committees chairman.
We are going to be reviewing statewide property tax exemptions and those contained within the Chapter 313 Economic Development Act of the tax code as it relates to opportunities for economic development tools
said Hilderbran.
The Ways & Means Committee also took testimony on the Chapter 313 Texas Economic Development Act.
