Key Hires in Communications Grassroots Strengthen HLNs Efforts Nationwide
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON DC - The Hispanic Leadership Network (HLN) today announced the addition of Emily Benavides and Marco Valera to the organizations full-time staff based in Washington DC.
Emily Benavides will serve as HLNs Communications Director and Marco Valera will serve as Southwest Regional Coordinator.

They both possess a deep understanding of the needs of the Hispanic community and the know-how on inspiring them to organize act and make a difference in their lives through civic participation."
Before joining HLN Benavides served as Florida Press Secretary and National Specialty Media Press Secretary for the Romney for President campaign. She was also part of the Communications team at the 2012 Republican National Convention and served on Capitol Hill as a staffer for Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04).
I look forward to expanding the influence of our network of Hispanic leaders and raising the profile of HLNs center-right policy agenda across the nation" said Benavides.
Valera is a former aide and Hispanic Outreach Advisor to Congressman Joe Heck (NV-03). In his new post Mr. Valera will focus on expanding HLNs network of volunteer Hispanic advocates in Nevada New Mexico Colorado Texas and California.
