Texas Workforce Commission $458419 Job-Training Grant width=71Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Hospital Corp. of America (HCA)/St. Davids HealthCare has partnered with the Austin Community College District for job training using a $458419 Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). HCA/St. Davids facilities from Austin Round Rock Georgetown and El Paso are participating in this training. The grant will be used to custom train 255 new and incumbent nurses and technicians. The grant will support high skills training to improve performance at the hospitals enhance career paths for trainees and increase the capacity for allied health training at Austin Community College. Upon completion of training those trained will earn an hourly wage between $20.32 and $63.47. Our Skills Development Fund grants serve everyone well" said TWC Commissioner Representing Labor Ronny Congleton. Workers get the specialized training they need and the communities benefit from a more highly skilled workforce."
