House Dems to Pelosi: Let Us Leave Town Now Before Voting on Tax Cuts

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas House Democrats at a Congressional Caucus meeting last Thursday morning told Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) they need to leave town now -- and not stick around for votes on tax cuts -- if they are going to save their seats retiring Blue Dog Rep. John Tanner (D-Tenn.) said. Texas Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Austin) appeared on MSNBCs Hardball with Chris Matthews last night arguing in favor of a vote prior to this Novembers Elections to extending the Bush Tax Cuts set to expire at year end.
