Houston Business Leaders To Join Sen. Cornyn In Announcing Small Business Taxpayer Bill of Rights

John Cornyn R-Texas will be in Houston tomorrow Wednesday April 11 in advance of Tax Day to announce the introduction of comprehensive legislation to assist small business owners and taxpayers in cutting through IRS red tape. Sen. Cornyns Small Business Taxpayer Bill of Rights Act of 2012 would lower compliance burdens for taxpayers strengthen taxpayer protections compensate taxpayers for IRS abuses and improve taxpayer access to the tax court. Now more than ever as the economy struggles to recover and as small businesses prepare for increased tax and administrative burdens from the 2010 health care law small business owners should be spending less time dealing with the IRS and the complicated tax code and more time creating jobs and opportunity. Sen. Cornyn will visit the locally owned family business Forge USA a metal forging manufacturer in Houston for more than 50 years. Forge USA owners endured significant financial burdens and a tough audit experience. Forge USA worked closely with alliantgroup a leading provider of specialty tax services who will be represented at the event by Mark Everson alliantgroup current vice chairman and the former IRS Commissioner. In addition to Mr. Everson Sen.
